BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The Vallacar Transit, Inc. operator of Ceres Liner appeals to the local officials and members of the police of cities and municipalities to deploy enforcement units in terminals to assist in the dispatching of passengers in their respective area.

Vallacar, in a press release furnished to DNX, sought help after passengers crowded the terminals, with some not wearing face nor observing social distancing.

Calling the incident a “cause for alarm”, VTI observed that most of the passengers ignored strict safety protocols in all company-owned terminals all over Negros Occidental just to catch a ride to go to work, the press release said.

“All these safety protocols were not followed by the passengers. They were more eager to get a ride than thinking of their own safety,” the press release added.

The bus company also appealed to passengers “to think of your own safety”.

“Your safety is our utmost concern and your family as well. We are in this together. We are bigger than Covid -19. Together , we will combat Covid -19,” VTI added.
