BACOLOD CITY – The Second Highways Engineering District has started its probe on the collapse of a school roofing that is still under construction in the elementary school in Buenavista village, Himamaylan City.

District Engineer Randolfo A. Melosantos told DNX based on their initial investigation, there were deficiencies with the welding joints but this will be subject to an ocular inspection tomorrow by DPWH engineers.

Problems with welding joints could be one of the factors that led to the collapse of the roof in Buenavista village, Himamaylan City, says District Engineer Ranolfo Melosantos. | Contributed photo
