Bacolod has five new cases: 4 OFWs, one LSI

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Bacolod has five new cases today, one of which is a Locally Stranded Individual (LSI) and resident of the sub-village of Pagasa, village of Estefania. The rest are repatriated OFWs and are currently facility-quarantined.

This brings the running tally of confirmed cases to 27. According to the latest report by the Bacolod City Health Office, 12 have made full recoveries, one is currently home quarantined, and three have died.

Gensoli said Patient 23, is a 38-year-old female, an LSI who arrived to Bacolod via airplane from Manila last 26 May.

Patient 24 is male, 40, an OFW with travel history from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He arrived from Manila last May 23, and tested negative in his RT-PCR there. He traveled to Bacolod 5 June, and had his repeat RT-PCR test here.

Patient 25 is 38, female, and land-based OFW from Kuwait. She arrived in Manila 1 June, then took her RT-PCR test where she tested negative. She was quarantined in the country’s capital until 9 June, when she booked a flight to Bacolod on the same day.

Meanwhile, Patient 26 is 35, male, with travel history to UK. He arrived in the Philippines 1 June and was quarantined in Manila where he took his RT-PCR test, with results coming up negative. He arrived here in Bacolod last 9 June.

Patient 27 is 37 male from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He arrived in Manila last 30 April, and took his RT-PCR test in the country’s capital where he tested negative. He arrived in Bacolod via airplane and last June 3 and took his repeat test here.

All OFWs tested positive in their repeat tests in Bacolod while initially testing negative in Manila. All are asymptomatic.
